During our planning meetings in recent months, the question of ‘who is our audience?‘ has come up again and again. Are we looking to engage their peers, the school community or maybe cast a global net? Or…do we need an audience at all?
On the one hand, students certainly need a safe environment to work and not feel like they’re being watched but… how you can empower these wonderful minds when they know someone’s watching! Over the next few weeks, I would like to share a few ways you can give students a platform to share their work and succeed!
Seesaw – The Peer and Parent Option

Quite an upgrade from the ‘pass it to the person next to you’ approach.
In a session which I’ve dubbed ‘Seesaw O’clock’, students will be asked to use sentence starters and questions to formulate responses to buddy’s work and their own. This allows parents to see how students are reflecting on their learning and also makes them proactive at feedback!
