Thanks to @Liz__Gibbs last week for some inspiring ways to engage the students in algebra. This activity really had the children musing at how to use manipulatives to find an equation for the value of the top square of their pyramid. Along with a couple of errors from yours truly along the way, we persevered and had fun solving this challenge.

Students then uploaded a photo and explanation of their work to an @Seesaw Activity where the relevant objective/ skill was already attached and will comment on their learning next lesson. Neat!
